The VLA Board Bank (Board Bank) places VLA Panel Attorneys on the Board of Directors of small to mid-size arts and cultural organizations. The goal of this program is to develop a renewable panel of experienced attorneys interested in becoming pro bono general counsels or Board Members to interested organizations.
Below please find links to the application form for the VLA Board Bank. Please complete and return the application, application fee and description of your organization to mail@vlama.org. The VLA recommends that your organization first call the VLA offices to discuss your needs prior to filling out a Board Bank Application. Our office number is 617.350.7600. In many cases the VLA may recommend that organizations first access the VLA Referral Program for legal assistance, as the Referral Program will be able to assist a majority of organizations with their legal issues.
Although the VLA will attempt to find an appropriate attorney to meet your Board or long-term legal needs, the VLA cannot guarantee that it will find a lawyer to assist you. Depending on the nature of your organization/legal issues, you should expect to hear from the VLA within approximately three (3) weeks from the date your application is received.
